Welcome!

Welcome to 2nd Grade! My name is Tara Harms and I am excited to be your child's teacher. This is my 14th year of teaching. I went to Tarleton State University to receive my bachelors degree in education. I am also have my masters in curriculum of environmental education. Teaching is my calling and I love helping children learn, grow, and feel loved and accepted every day at school. Having fun while learning is always my goal and I try to incorporate nature experiences as much as I can. I want my students to be kind and resilient problem solvers so I know I have to model those skills and have high expectations. I enjoy gardening, hiking, and spending time with my family, my grown kids and their families, and my two dogs. This will be an exciting year in 2nd grade!
