Welcome to Ikard Elementary! My name is Laura Montelongo, I have been teaching for over 25 years in grades PreK thru 5th Grade, but Kindergarten is my favorite. I graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Math with certifications in ESL, Bilingual and Special Education. My husband Rick and I have two grown children. Our daughter, Camila has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction/Technology and is a middle school Math teacher. Our son, Cristian is studying Astronautical Engineering at the United States Air Force Academy. I enjoy spending time with my family and love to read books. I am looking forward to a great year!

 

¡Bienvenidos a Ikard! Mi nombre es Laura Montelongo, he sido una maestra por más de 25 años en grados PreK hasta 5to grado, pero Kindergarten es mi favorito. Me gradué de West Texas A&M University con un Bachelors de Ciencia en Matématicas con certificaciones en ESL, Bilingual y Special Education. Mi eposo Rick y yo tenemos dos hijos adultos. Nuestra hijo, Camila tiene su Maestría en currículo e instrucción con tecnología y es una maestra de Matématicas. Nuestro hijo, Cristian está estudiando ingeniería astronáutica en el United States Air Force Academy. Me gusta pasar tiempo con mi familia y amo leyendo libros. Esperando un gran año!
