I want to thank you for sharing your child(ren) with us at Ikard Elementary! We have a passion for kids! We challenge them daily to perform at the highest level. We encourage our students to set goals and know the steps they must take in order to achieve them. We consistently remind them that there is nothing they cannot do if they set their minds to it. Every morning we tell our staff and students to "Make it a great day or not, the choice is always yours."
This year begins my 23rd year in education. I received my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Tarleton State University. I am blessed that all 23 years in education have been in Weatherford ISD! I taught 3rd grade at Travis Elementary the last year it was open. The staff from Travis opened Ikard Elementary where I taught 3rd and 4th grades. I was the Assistant Principal at Ikard for 8 years and Principal for the last 9 years. I have two grown sons. I have been married to my husband Michael for 30 years.
